How do I buy an eSIM for someone else?
You buy a plan for someone else and send them the code. Your own eSIM and data are not touched.
Choose a plan in Atli and tap 🎁 Share it at checkout. After purchase, Atli gives you a claim code to send to the recipient.
They claim it in Atli on their own phone. If they need a new Atli eSIM, Atli provides one when they claim.
How do I buy and send it?
- 1Choose the recipient's destination and plan in Atli.
- 2Tap 🎁 Share it at checkout. If a voucher makes the plan free, tap 🎁 Share it free.
- 3Complete the purchase.
- 4Send the
GIFT-XXXX-XXXXclaim code to the recipient.
The button shows the price, for example 🎁 Share it · $4.99. On WhatsApp, from $100 it reads 🎁 Share · $109.99.

How does the recipient claim it?
- 1The recipient opens Atli on WhatsApp or Telegram on their own phone.
- 2They send the
GIFT-XXXX-XXXXclaim code to Atli. - 3Atli adds the plan to their account.
- 4If they need a new Atli eSIM, they install it on Wi-Fi before travelling. See How to install an eSIM.
Each claim code can be used once and must be claimed before the date shown on the gift link. You cannot claim a code you bought yourself.
What if they already have an Atli eSIM?
If the recipient already has an Atli eSIM they can use, the plan is added to it. There is nothing new to install.
If they need a new Atli eSIM, Atli provides one when they claim.
When does their plan start?
Claiming does not start the plan. Once claimed, it follows the same start rules as any other Atli plan. See When does my eSIM plan start?.
What happens if nobody claims it?
If the plan is not claimed by the date shown on the gift link, the claim code expires and can no longer be used.

Do I earn Atli credits when I buy an eSIM for someone else?
Yes. You are buying the eSIM and sending it to someone else, so the credits go to you, the person who pays. See How do Atli credits work? for the current earning rules.
Does the recipient need WhatsApp or Telegram?
No. They can claim it in Atli on WhatsApp or Telegram, or in the Atli app.
Why won't my claim code work?
A claim code will not work if it has already been claimed, has expired, or is being claimed by the person who bought it.

Can I buy plans for my whole family?
Yes. Buy one plan per person because each claim code can only be used once. Each person claims theirs on their own phone. See eSIMs for family travel.
