How to buy an eSIM on WhatsApp

Type the destination and how long you'll be there, like Italy, 8 days. Atli replies with the plans that cover it: a few fixed sizes, or Unlimited.

Pick a plan and pay
Tap the plan you want. Atli sends a secure checkout link in the chat, and you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay where available.

Install from the chat
Your eSIM comes back in the same conversation. Install it on Wi-Fi before you fly: tap Install on iPhone or Install on Android, scan the QR code, or enter the details manually. The plan starts when your phone first connects at your destination.
Later, it's the same chat
Everything about your eSIM lives in the conversation you bought it in. Deleted the chat by mistake? Start it again and type wallet.
More data, or the next trip
Type check data and tap Buy another plan. It goes onto the same Atli eSIM, so there's no new QR code and no reinstall.
An eSIM for someone else
Choose a plan and tap 🎁 Share it at checkout. Atli gives you a claim code to send, and they claim it in Atli on their own phone.
Invite a friend
Type invite for your friend code. They get a discount on their first Atli eSIM of $6 or more, and you earn 2000 Atli credits when they buy.
Using WhatsApp on your Atli eSIM
You keep your WhatsApp number
Atli is data-only, so it never touches the number your WhatsApp account is registered to. Messages, photos and calls use your Atli data the same way they use Wi-Fi. Leave Change number alone in WhatsApp: there's nothing to change. More on keeping your WhatsApp number.
Your own SIM keeps calls and texts

Common questions
Do I need the Atli app or an account to buy on WhatsApp?
No. The chat is the whole thing: you pick a plan, pay and install inside WhatsApp. If you'd rather use a website, you can also buy on HeyAtli.com.
How do I find Atli on WhatsApp?
Search for @atliesim in WhatsApp, or tap Buy on WhatsApp on this page and the chat opens on its own.
Does Atli speak my language?
Yes. Write to Atli in English, German, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malay or Arabic, and Atli answers in the same language.
Can I buy from a computer, on WhatsApp Web?
Yes. Open the chat on WhatsApp Web or the desktop app, pick a plan and pay as usual. The eSIM goes on your phone: the same chat is on it too, so tap Install on iPhone or Install on Android there, or scan the QR code on your screen with your phone's camera.
How do I pay?
Atli sends you a secure checkout link in the chat. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay where available. Checkout runs on Stripe.
Does the eSIM come with a phone number?
No. Atli is data-only. Your own SIM keeps your number, calls and texts, and WhatsApp stays registered to that number.
When does the plan start?
When your phone first connects to a supported network in a destination the plan covers. Buying or installing the eSIM does not start it. A plan that has not started within 30 days of purchase expires.
Where do I find my QR code again?
Type wallet in the chat, open your eSIM and tap QR / Install. Deleting the chat does not remove your eSIMs or plans.
What happens when my data runs out?
Buy another plan in the same chat: type check data and tap Buy another plan. It goes onto the same Atli eSIM, with no new QR code and no reinstall. If another plan that covers your destination is already on the eSIM, it can take over on its own.
Can I buy an eSIM for someone else on WhatsApp?
Yes. Choose a plan and tap 🎁 Share it at checkout. Atli gives you a claim code to send them, and they claim it in Atli on their own phone. Claiming does not start the plan.
Which destinations can I buy for?
200+ destinations, on local 4G/5G networks. Type the destination in the chat and Atli shows the plans that cover it: a plan for that destination, a regional plan, or Global.
How much data do I need?

Can I get a refund?
Refunds may be available for an eligible technical or network failure that Atli support cannot resolve. Type Talk to a human in the chat within 14 days of purchase. A change of mind, an incompatible or carrier-locked phone, or a plan that has already connected or used data are not covered. See Payments and refunds.
