Will I keep my Telegram number with a travel eSIM?
Yes. Your Telegram number stays the same. Atli is data-only, so it does not replace the number your Telegram account uses.
Telegram messages and calls can use your Atli data just like they use Wi-Fi.
Can I use Telegram with Atli?
Yes. Telegram messages, photos and calls use internet data, so they work over your Atli eSIM or Wi-Fi. Same number, same chats, same groups.
Telegram calls use data, not minutes. For normal calls and texts, keep your own SIM switched on. Your own carrier may charge roaming fees on that line. See Will I be charged for data roaming on an eSIM?
What if Telegram asks me to log in again?
If you are logged in to Telegram on another device, such as a tablet or a computer, Telegram may send the login code there, inside Telegram, instead of by text.
Otherwise the code comes by text to your own phone number, through your own carrier, not to the Atli eSIM. Keep your own SIM switched on so the text can reach you.

Can I log in without a text code?
Yes, with a passkey. Set one up before you travel, while you are logged in: open Settings › Privacy and Security › Passkeys.
A passkey lets you log in the same way you unlock your phone, with your PIN, face or fingerprint, so you do not need a code by text.
What about two-step verification?
If you use Telegram two-step verification, make sure you know your password before travelling.
You can check it in Telegram under Settings › Privacy and Security › Two-Step Verification.
How do I save data in Telegram?
In Telegram, open Settings › Data and Storage and turn off automatic media download for mobile data. Photos and videos then download only when you tap them.
On the same screen, Data Usage shows how much data Telegram has used.
Can I buy Atli in Telegram?
Yes. Open Atli on Telegram and tap Start. You can buy a plan, install your eSIM and check your data in the same chat.
